One of the first stops for any out of town friends is to visit Neptune Chiuchow in TST east. The food is very similar to home cooking and they can make whatever you dream up. They also have a wide range of soups. Chiuchow food is well known for the goose but I stay away from it as its fatty. 
On this visit we were craving Korean and thus asked the chef to create a seafood pancake. It went down quite well with whiskey. The beers help cut the salt allowing you to eat even more.
The place is massive with many rooms, karoke and mahjong can be heard emanating from the confines of the private VIP side. I am more of the peasant variety so it’s always nice to eat in TST East and talk to strangers seated at other tables.
