Porkchop on Rice at Sheung Wan’s For Kee Restaurant

I only dine here when I have out of town friends craving for the local experience with only time for lunch.  If you plan to eat here, bring patience.  It takes 30-40 minutes for your meal to arrive.   The rush starts at noon and goes until they are sold out of the pork chops (after 2:30).  It’s a large serving of a fried pork chop with soy sauce on rice.  Add the soup to the meal so it gives you something to occupy your time while waiting for the main.  Add vegetables to the meal so it makes it easier for your stomach to digest.  It’s heavy.

The soup came in a large bowl loaded with ingredients to eat.  It would be ample size to serve among two people.

The main is large.  I notice tables of girls splitting the main pork chop on rice among pairs.

The main dish, their pork chop on rice is $54/serving.  To add the vegetables and soup bring to total to $80/serving.  For $80/serving you are near the lower limit to dine in at any of Central’s power lunch spots.  It’s a good heavy meal only to take out of town friends.  I could not eat this on a daily basis.
