Turkey take on Argentina Malbec

This is one affordable wine that is easy to drink without the heavy wood taste.  Turkey’s take on the traditional Argentinian Malbec grape.  This wine has replaced Sardinia’s Abbaia as my previous go-to everyday drinking wine.   People love Argentina’s Malbecs for its affordability and this wine is certainly affordable.

Kavaklidere is the largest winery in Turkey and official wine supplier to the nation’s airline.

taste: dark colour, not much in the way of tannins, ripe black fruits, no oak which is the surprise.

I will need to taste this wine again with a clean palette as I have consumed on three different occasions already and each time lead me to the path of forgetting everything else.

March 16 2015 update: the wine allocation for HK is now sold out.
