Soup noodles make a great quick meal, perfect supper food as it’s light making it easy to digest.

Hong Kong has three distinct variations of soup noodles: wonton noodle soups, fish ball noodles and cart noodles.

Wonton Noodle shops specialize in meat and vegetables inside dumplings and beef (beef brisket and beef innards). Fish ball noodle shops do fish balls in different varieties, all of which are processed. Cart noodles are soup noodles to which you chose the toppings (generally frozen foods – everything from wonton and beef briskets to pork blood and anything you can dream up).  The price range for noodle soups vary, some start at $16 for a basic wonton noodle soup to $40 for michelin star quality.  Wonton and Fish ball noodle soups are generally smaller in snack size whereas cart noodles are struggle plates.

Boat Dweller Fish Ball is in Kennedy Town, they make their fish balls in house.  I enjoyed this meal as noodles are a welcome change from all the rice.  There is a need to mix up the chinese food as it can get quite monotonous if you allow it.  I will be back.

Give their chili sauce a try.  You can buy a bottle to take home for $80.  The chili sauce was quite playful as one would never expect it to have so much bite.  It gave me the sweats.
